About me
I have over a decade of experience working with children and families. I started off in a school setting primarily working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum. After five years in the school setting, I transitioned to my work with the Children's Behavioral Health Initiative as an in-home therapist, working primarily with adolescents and young adults. I soon discovered my passion for clinical therapy, which lead me to my role as an outpatient therapist in a group practice setting for the last three years. I recently made the move toward starting my own practice (with my therapy dog, Timmy!) I continue to work with families, but especially enjoy working with young adults & adults through life stressors and transitional stages (entering college, transitioning into the work force, postpartum/parenting).
We all have different life experiences, and it is those experiences that help shape our future and the perception we hold of ourselves. I believe that self-development - and the process of healing from past experiences, transitions, or traumas- looks different for each of us.
My own healing process was rooted at my family's farm (house #110) where I learned the power of healing and hope, through the outdoors and my love for animals. I hope that the space I have created is a place where you too, can work toward self love and acceptance.
